Our story

At 4 years old, I pulled my favorite chair up to the stove with my grandmother. She showed me how to scramble eggs for the first time and this was the day I fell in love with cooking. When I graduated high school, not knowing exactly what I wanted to do with my life, I joined the United States Air Force.

After a world tour and a few deployments, I separated & moved to Charleston, SC to begin studies at The Art Institute. After graduating, I decided to make Dallas, Texas my home, and it would be for the next 11 years.

2020 marked a global pause for us all and I started going after my dreams. Cold Sugar Desserts was born. I worked on my recipes everyday, and perfected all the desserts you see before you here. From every egg yolk, to every grand of brown sugar, I found what I believe, to be the perfect decadence in each form.

In early 2024, Cold Sugar has become more than just desserts. I started making my own breads from scratch and an evolution took place. Cold Sugar Bakehouse was born.

Our ingredients

We work with local farmers to source all of the fruit, and honey that go into our breads and desserts. Sourdough is made from a fairly young starter, about 6 months old. Yet, she packs a punch in a bread full of flavor.
